Empowerment

Empowerment is at the heart of RUPSA’s mission to build an inclusive and equitable society. This initiative supports marginalized women, single mothers, persons with disabilities, and third-gender individuals by equipping them with the tools to lead independent, dignified lives. Under this umbrella, two major projects are implemented: Rise & Thrive, which focuses on online skill development, freelancing, and entrepreneurship; and She Leads, a leadership and confidence-building program for aspiring changemakers from disadvantaged backgrounds. Together, these efforts aim to create sustainable impact through opportunity, inclusion, and empowerment.

Rise &Thrive

In a society where countless women and gender-diverse individuals are left behind due to social stigma, poverty, and limited opportunities, true empowerment demands more than charity—it demands structured, inclusive development. RUPSA’s “Rise & Thrive” initiative was born from this very need.

Women who are widowed, living with disabilities, raising children alone, or identifying as a third gender often struggle to access steady income, respect, or the tools to build their future. They remain invisible in the mainstream economy. Through this project, RUPSA unlocks its potential by equipping it with digital skills, linking it to global job markets, and fostering entrepreneurship.

Rise & Thrive is not just a project—it’s a movement to help marginalized voices rise above inequality and thrive with dignity. By leveraging technology as a bridge, we connect skills to opportunities, dreams to action, and exclusion to empowerment.

Dignity & Hope

Dignity & Hope is a compassionate initiative of RUPSA dedicated to restoring purpose and independence in the lives of women who are often left behind—widows, women with disabilities, and the unprivileged. Many of these women face social exclusion, financial hardship, and emotional isolation. This program offers more than aid — it offers dignity, self-reliance, and hope for a better future.

Through small but impactful financial support (including Zakat and general donations), RUPSA helps them build micro-businesses, regain stability, and become contributing members of society

Who We Support:
– Widowed and abandoned women
– Women with physical or mental disabilities
– Women-led families living below the poverty line
– Unemployed, unskilled, and undereducated disabled men and women from poor households
These individuals often lack access to even the smallest capital to start a business or learn a trade. Dignity & Hope fills that gap.

The Need for Activities Inclusive Leadership

In Bangladesh’s socio-cultural context, traditional gender roles and discrimination restrict many women and gender minorities from stepping into leadership roles. These challenges include:

– Limited access to education and skill-building
– Economic dependency and lack of financial resources
– Social stigma around gender identity and disability
– Exclusion from decision-making forums
The absence of diverse leadership means many issues—like gender-based violence, health rights, and social inclusion—remain inadequately addressed at the community and policy levels.  Dignity & Hope was designed to break these barriers by providing tailored training, mentorship, and opportunities for marginalized individuals to step forward as agents of change.
